 Trying to keep at-risk teens in school
  Bob Sams leads effort for EWHS program

 WENDELL - Human service professional Bob Sams believes education is the
 key to success in life. He also knows kids need to stay in school to
 receive the crucial push. So to help at-risk teens finish high school, he
 and other community volunteers want to start an after-school program for
 East Wake High School students. It would be funded with federal money
 while addressing behavior and academic needs.

 "The goal is to do something about students' problems before those
 problems become too big and cause a suspension from school," said
