[rtpnet-tact] Status: Computer recycling/reuse

Youth Today Community Resource Center in Greenville, NC has recently
received Dell Optiplex computers through state surplus; however we do not
have funds for software to utilize the machines.  Our budget does not
support or allow for purchase of software. 

We are in an excellent position to offer great services to an already dying
community where poverty is at an all time high.  

If there is someone out there who knows where we can get software for these
machines it would be excellent.  We need your help to close this gap on
accessibility for our youth and families.

We would love to offer internet access, foreign language lab, reading labs,
and the list goes on of possibiities.

Judy and all.  I have quite a few brand new in the box Bay Networks/Nortel
hubs
and switches, mainly in the 24 port variety.  It is made available to needy
organizations.  I still have a few Apple computers and printers, and some
older
133mhz gateway computers (all monitors were already given to the CH
education
something).

The recipient should mention on their web-site or in the newsletter a thank
you
to Nortel Networks.
