[rtpnet-tact] Thinking about a conference May 20, 2005

To RTPnet-TACT and CTNC lists:

I have reserved the Redbud room at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill for 
Friday May 20 for another RPTnet conference. If you think that date is 
not good or you have suggestions for a different place, please let me 
know (hallman at rtpnet.org).

We are also thinking about incorporating community technology awards 
into the conference itself, rather than having a later social hour, as 
we did last year.

I am hoping that this year we will be able to divide up the work using 
Tech LinkUp (http://www.techlinkup.org ). Our two Americorps*VISTAs, 
Damita Chambers and Vahid Nourani (see their Web pages at 
http://www.rtpnet.org/chambers/ and http://www.rtpnet.org/nourani/ ), 
will help with that planning. We will post messages to the RTPnet-TACT 
list as we identify our needs.

Meanwhile, there is a discussion forum for planning the conference at

I have posted a list of tasks. You might start thinking about which 
tasks you are interested in working on.

The forum is public. There are instructions for forums at
http://www.rtpnet.org/rtpnet/forums/
Essentially, you probably want to register and login before you post;
then you can edit what you posted, if you need to.
You can also preview your message before you post it.
And there's BB code for formatting that is very similar to HTML.
