from Goodwill Industries International last Tuesday, and since many of you

2005 Technology Connections Award-Winner




Raleigh, N.C. - Last Tuesday afternoon was a time of honor for the
Raleigh-based computer training program when it accepted Goodwill Industries
International's (GII) '2005 Technology Connections Award' in Appleton,
Wisconsin. As a result of its versatile, accessible and timely curriculum,
GII recognized GCF Global LearningR as a program that provides the best
"technology training and resources as a means of workplace success" among
all of the programs administered by the 182 autonomous Goodwill
organizations in North America and the 48 associate Goodwill organizations
in 34 foreign countries.

 

"Receiving this award helps us to conceptualize the far-reaching effects
that e-learning can have on our program participants in Raleigh and
throughout the world," said Dr. Jacqueline Gottlieb, Director of Training
for Goodwill Industries of Eastern North Carolina. "We have served
individuals throughout the Triangle since 1989 and on a global level since
2000, and it's amazing to see how this program has impacted the lives of so
many individuals as they gain confidence to use today's technology
resources."

 

To date, GCF Global LearningR has served over 107,000 individuals - 5,063
just in the Triangle alone,* through the free learning opportunities that
