Dear Members,
Happy New Year!
For those of you that may not have seen our January newsletter yet, I’m
writing to give you a few important announcements from CTCNet.
1. Youth Visions Curriculum and Videos is LIVE! The Youth Visions
website is now ready for your viewing pleasure. Please visit it
at: http://www.ctcnet.org/youthvisions to view 15 youth produced
videos in the gallery, read case studies of the project’s impact
-- and purchase a copy of the curriculum for your own
organization. The spiral bound, printed curriculum is available
to CTCNet members for $25.
2. My last day as Executive Director will be Friday, January 19,
2006. After I leave, Shireen Mitchell (CTCNet’s Board President)
will serve as Acting Interim Executive Director. The Board
continues to search for a new permanent ED and hopes to fill the
position within the next quarter.
3. CTCNet _will not_ be hosting a conference in 2007. Because of
the extensive transition we’ve experienced including new staff,
new board officers and the hiring of a new Executive Director, we
will focus our efforts on strategic planning, organizational
development and expanding our member benefits over the next 3
years. The conference is something that we all look forward to
each year and we do plan on bringing it back to you in 2008.
We also plan to have CTCNet staff and board at other related conferences
in our field, and will organize CTCNet Member meetings at those events.
Please read CTCNet’s January 2007 newsletter
<http://ctcnet.org/what/resources/network_news/Jan07.htm> for more
detail on our work and activities in 2007. And if you have any
questions, please feel free to email me.
We at CTCNet do hope you had a peaceful and relaxing holiday and wish
you all the best in 2007!
---- Kavita
