To RTPnet members and friends:

NCCommunities is a learning space where nonprofit organizations learn to
leverage computer and information technology tools to expand the reach
and effectiveness of their organizations. This new RTPnet service is
starting off with the Drupal Content Management System and its
associated Web 2.0 tools and is now available at
     http://nccommunities.org/
CiviCRM, a web-based constituent relationship management system designed
to meet the needs of advocacy and nonprofit groups that runs under
Drupal, should be available for you to try out in a few weeks.
Meanwhile, you can get started using Drupal.

Click the "Help" button (or go directly to http://nccommunities.org/help
) for instructions. The Help "book" contains the "book pages" Glossary,
to help you learn some of the new lingo, and "How To" Basics, to help
you participate (post to your blog, comment on other's posts, use
forums, and more).

Click the "About" button for more information about the future direction
of NCCommunities or go directly to http://nccommunities.org/about

If you would like to help develop this new service, please join the
groups of your choosing -- click "Groups directory" in the left sidebar
to see the groups currently available, or click "Create content" to
create a new group.
