Dear colleagues:
Do you know of anyone who might be interested in participating
in the following SAA 2009 session? Since one of the speakers is unable
to participate, I am in anxious search of a replacement.
Session #308
Preserving Digital Research Data in the Health Sciences
As investigators in the health fields who have used computers for more
than 30 years in scientific and clinical studies retire, critical
decisions must be made about the long-term retention and accessibility
of their data. The speakers address the role of archives in the
development of digital repositories for long-term retention and
management of research data in electronic formats, focusing on managing
ethical and legally compliant options for access and use of the data.
