Colleagues,
The time is fast approaching! The Society of North Carolina Archivists will hold its annual meeting on March 3-5, 2010 in Pinehurst, NC, on the beautiful campus of Sandhills Community College. I am pleased to announce that Dennis Meissner will be our keynote speaker! Mr. Meissner is Head of Collections Management at the Minnesota Historical Society and co-author of "More Product, Less Process: Revamping Traditional Archival Processing," the 2005 article that has challenged archivists' understanding of processing and priorities. In addition, SNCA and the Society of American Archivists will be co-sponsoring the workshop "Implementing 'More Product, Less Process.'" A description of the workshop can be found at http://www.archivists.org/prof-education/course_cataloglist.asp#MPLP More details about the meeting and workshop will be available on the SNCA webpage soon, as will registration information.

But we still need input from you! The Program Committee invites proposals for sessions, panels, workshops, poster sessions, and presentations. The Session Proposal form is attached, and you can also find it on the SNCA website along with tips for strengthening your proposal. You may also use this form if you have suggestions for pre-meeting workshops. Please see http://www.ncarchivists.org/meetings/meet.html

Please email your proposals to Elizabeth Preston at elizabeth.preston at ncdcr.gov<mailto:elizabeth.preston at ncdcr.gov> by Friday, January 8, 2010. Thanks for helping us make this a great meeting!
