Family and Bible Records Online Update



The digital collection, North Carolina Family Records Online, created by the State Library of North Carolina and the State Archives, now contains more than 478 different records, including  the six-volume Marriage and Death Notices from Raleigh Register and North Carolina State Gazetteer: 1799-1893.  On November 16, the sister agencies added 159 new Bible records, primarily for the surnames beginning with B and C.  The State Archives is systematically scanning and transcribing the Bible Records collection alphabetically and the State Library makes the new images and data available every other month.
