Below is a link to a story in today's Boston Globe that just horrified
me.  Cushing Academy, a prep school in central Massachusetts, is getting
rid of all its books (except the children's books and valuable
antiques--go figure) in favor of going completely--and I mean
COMPLETElY--digital.  They're not supplementing the books--they're
getting rid of all of them.  Amazing.  They are, however, installing a
coffee shop where the reference desk used to be.

Astounding.  Or am I overreacting here?  I don't think so, but...  I
skimmed through the comments on the article and most of them feel the
same way I do.
