Head, Special Collections Research Center, NCSU Libraries.

The North Carolina State University Libraries invites applications and 
nominations for the position of Head, Special Collections Research 
Center. The ideal candidate will lead a dynamic special collections and 
archives program in support of teaching, learning, and research at the 
university. The incumbent provides strategic and effective management of 
collections, policy, budget, and personnel (12 staff and 4 graduate 
assistants) in a customer-oriented, technologically sophisticated 
environment. In this highly visible position, the incumbent works 
closely with faculty, researchers, and administrators, facilitates 
student use of primary source material, and cultivates donors and 
supporters. He or she leads the Center’s efforts to integrate the 
special collections program into the collections, spaces, services, and 
digital initiatives of the NCSU Libraries. Review of applications is
