Hi Volunteers for the American Tobacco Trail,
There will be *no workday tomorrow, Saturday, October 1*, on the
American Tobacco Trail.
Please join us next Saturday, October 8 at 9 a.m. at the New Hope Church
Road trailhead <http://www.triangletrails.org/DIRECTIONS.HTM> in Chatham
County. We'll be clearing the drainage ditches along the trail in this area.
If you have a hand saw and/or chainsaw, and feel comfortable using them,
please bring them along. Loppers are also needed. We could use any
number of wheelbarrows or garden carts as well.
Bring work gloves, full shoes or boots, clothing appropriate for the
weather, water and a snack if you like.* I* *Please wear long pants
*because we may get into some brush.
We'll probably work till about noon or so. If it is raining badly or all
over the area, or the forecast is for such, we'll cancel this workday.
Feel free to call Bill Bussey at 919 545-9104, as late as 8 a.m., to
verify a go or no go. However, if you aren't comfortable with the
forecast, use your best judgment and join us or not as you prefer.
Please let Frank Bennett <mailto:FJB675 at hotmail.com> 919-851-3992 or
Bill Bussey <mailto:billbus at gte.net> 919 545-9104 know if you have any
questions.
