Held in conjunction with the Duke University Alumni Weekend, the Peace Prize celebration changed locations this year to be held on the Duke University campus. Members of the NCPCA and Duke RPCVs mingled and celebrated Peace Corps accomplishments and awarded the 2011 Peace Prize to Uniting NC.
Uniting NC receives 2011 North Carolina Peace Prize
North Carolina Peace Corps Association presented its 2011 NC Peace Prize to Uniting NC on Saturday, February 26, 2011. The prize is a hand-thrown Seagrove vase, and includes a cash award of $1,000. Accepting for the group were Kristin Collins and Randy Jones.
