Peace Corps Night Silent Auction information
For the past four years, the North Carolina Peace Corps Association has held a Silent Auction to raise money for the Peace Corps Partnership Project of a Volunteer from North Carolina. The Silent Auction has become one of the principal money-raising events at Africa Night with items like a beach condominium, mountain casita, original artwork, heirloom plants, and gift cards from area businesses, arts and crafts from around the world, antiques, and the unusual, among items offered for auction.
Our past success is directly attributable to the hard work, generosity, and imagination of NCPCA members and friends, who have spent time and energy getting auction items together. We encourage you to begin the process of gathering your own items for donation, soliciting for items from businesses, friends and family, using the 501(C)(3) letters, linked here. When submitting a item for auction, please provide a paragragh describing the item and any qualifications on it (i.e. beach house rental for these specific weeks)
If you cannot attend Peace Corps Night or if you would rather have your auction item/s processed before Africa Night, contact Sam Brooks at 919-259-3611 or sambrooks10@gmail.com or athenatracy@gmail.com to donate items for the auction. We are happy to pick up the items if you would like us to do so.
Otherwise, please plan to arrive well ahead of the 5:00 PM start of the event so that Karen Ulberg or another NCPCA member can assist you with preparing the beginning bid, labeling, and describing your donation/s. If you should have any questions, please contact Emily Coble, Vice President and Peace Corps Night Coordinator, Home Phone 919-231-6874, E-Mail emilycoble@intrstar.net
